Essential Functions

Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, recommends suppliers, and negotiates contracts for assigned categories or departments.

Gathers business requirements and identifies and pre‑qualifies potential suppliers.

Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.

Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.

Works with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements.

May oversee tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the payment of invoices.

Ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Required Qualifications

Required education and experience:

Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred education and experience:

Bachelor's Degree

Discipline/Major:

Business Administration/ Supply Chain Management

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

Ability to work as part of a team. Decision‑making skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.

Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

Travel Requirements

May require employee to travel on a periodic basis, including domestic and international trips, to meet with suppliers, conduct site visits, and attend conferences.

Travel may involve overnight stays and extended periods away from home.

Travel may require flexibility in work schedule and adaptation to different time zones.

Travel may require coordination with corporate travel policies and expense reimbursement procedures.
