What You'll Do: The Maintenance Resource Leader role is intended to address several important issues including reducing span of control for the leader, while also supporting key work process roles. The Maintenance Resource Leader provides an administrative people leadership resource to maintenance personnel. The Maintenance Resource Leader has shared responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of the plant related business goals.

What We're Looking For:

Significant involvement in EH&S engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety and compliance

Actively champion and support the development of a Highly Reliable Maintenance Organization.

Completes the requirements of the Performance Management Process for direct reports which is leveraged to support meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement.

This includes coaching and career development

May be asked to fill in for the Maintenance Leader

Encourages team member to develop and utilize a development plan

Plans and allocates resources together with the Maintenance Leader.

The Maintenance Resource Leader. will support the Work Process Leader to ensure effective application of the Maintenance Work Process

Budgeting

Goal alignment for work processes and measurements

Key Performance Indicators with focus on Performance Management Implementation/Effectiveness

As required, participate in and lead teams in the area of accountability.

Perform any job-related activities as requested by the Maintenance Leader

Functions as the administrative leader of all maintenance resources within the area of responsibility.

Provides roles, talent and competencies necessary to support maintenance process elements, with organizational integration to Reliability, Operations, EH&S, PM, etc.

Responsible for contributing towards the safety, productivity, quality and overall effectiveness of the workforce.

Coordinates/sponsors the formation of teams for timely resource leveraging to support significant opportunities

Accountable for measuring the performance of individuals against the expectations of the work processes and the targeted results.

Ensures delivery of agreed to services as required.

Actively participates in teams within the business or site

Supports Facility Maintenance Strategy development

Executes the performance management system including Competency Profiles, Employee Development, Deployment, Compensation

Ensures Performance metrics are used to improve the maintaining functions.

Skills That Make a Difference:

High School Diploma

10+ years of operational experience within an industrial plant in a maintenance role.

3+ years demonstrated leadership experience through leading/managing cross-functional teams

Comprehensive knowledge of HSES policies and procedures.

Experience and knowledge of performance management through team goal and objective setting.

Completion of a leadership development program

Knowledge of administrative policies related to people leadership.

Able to lead Electricians, Instrument Technicians, Mechanical Craftsmen, and Welders/Fabricators with and understanding of their trades.

Working Conditions:

Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather.

Willing/able to work hours outside of normal schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

Available by phone for calls regarding off hours maintenance needs.

Able to support emergency response as needed.

Able to lead all crafts and interface with contractors as appropriate.
