Location: Beerse, Belgium
Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality in pharmaceutical distribution? J&J Innovative Medicine is seeking a dedicated Quality and Compliance Manager to lead our team at the Beerse Distribution Center. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a robust and agile distribution network that delivers life‑changing medicines across Europe and beyond.
About Us Within our team, we oversee distribution across the entire European Network, from manufacturing to our patients. The Beerse DC serves as the European Distribution Center for Narcotics, Clinical, and Advanced Therapy (CAR‑T), including Repack/relabel activities. We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Oversight Maintain and improve the quality management system aligned with regional and global policies.
Team Leadership Lead and inspire a team of 3 professionals. Foster a culture of quality excellence through your enthusiasm and leadership.
Regulatory Compliance Ensure local compliance with all relevant regulations, certifications (GMP/GDP), and licenses (WDA) in collaboration with the other compliance functions. Governance of the quality performance and compliance within the DC Beerse team (+/- 160 employees) Act as Responsible Person (RP) and RP delegate for Beerse DC. Support audits and inspections, ensuring readiness at all times.
Operational Support Oversee the handling of quality‑related non‑conformances, CAPA, complaints, and Change Controls. Manage escalations and lead local risk management initiatives.
Project & Stakeholder Management Initiate and lead improvement projects across the distribution network, acting as a change agent. Collaborate on end‑to‑end process improvements across departments.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's degree (Pharmacist degree is a plus). Certifications such as FPX, Lean Green Belt, or APICS are advantageous.
Experience & Skills Required:
Over 5 years of experience in an international environment. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, GMP, and GDP. Proven experience in quality management and compliance. Ability to lead projects and influence without authority. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both shop floor teams and senior management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint). Fluency in Dutch and English.
Preferred:
Data analytics skills (PowerBI, business statistics). Project management and LEAN certifications. Self‑motivated with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude. Experience working with Quality Systems (e.g., Comet, TruVault) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
