Position Summary A Shift Supervisor is a key leader supporting the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty to CVS/pharmacy through a focus on excellent customer service. When there is no manager or Operations Supervisor onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for completing all opening and closing procedures.
Essential Functions
Supervise the store’s crew by assigning, directing and following up on all store activities.
Work effectively with store management and store crews to achieve store goals.
Effectively communicate information to and from store management and crews.
Assist customers with their questions, problems and complaints, and promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking patrons.
Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy, maintaining a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
Stock and present merchandise, including pricing, shelving, and executing displays, signs, inventory, and seasonal promotions.
Reset departments following POGs and execute off‑shelf merchandise maintenance.
Required Qualifications
Deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills.
Advanced communication and supervision skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, weekend shifts, overtime as needed, and respond to urgent store issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a retail supervisor.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Work Hours and Compensation
Anticipated weekly hours: 29
Time type: Part‑time
Pay range (base hourly rate): $17.00 – $26.00
