General Summary The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations. This role drives process optimization, productivity improvements, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and safety performance through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies. The Continuous Improvement Manager partners closely with operations leadership and frontline teams to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, safety performance, and cost efficiency.
Analyze operational processes, workflows, and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, waste, and improvement opportunities.
Facilitate Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma projects, including value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and standard work development.
Partner with warehouse leadership to develop and implement sustainable process improvements that align with operational and financial goals.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and service levels.
Train and coach managers and frontline employees on continuous improvement tools, problem-solving techniques, and best practices.
Support safety initiatives by collaborating with the safety team to integrate continuous improvement principles into incident reduction, ergonomics, and compliance efforts.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement improvements involving operations, transportation, quality, maintenance, and IT systems.
Support change management efforts to ensure the adoption and sustainability of new processes and standards.
Prepare and present improvement results, savings, and performance trends to senior leadership.
Maintain documentation of processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations with a focus on continuous improvement
Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
Licenses or Certifications
Relevant expertise and/or certifications are a plus in continuous and process improvement programs.

Warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational reporting
Inventory control, order fulfillment, and material handling processes
Safety standards and regulatory requirements applicable to warehousing and logistics

Ability to facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and cross-functional teams
Data analysis and reporting skills, including Excel and operational dashboards
Effective communication and presentation skills
