Responsibilities
Coordinate with suppliers/vendors on orders, deliveries, and shipping schedules, and resolve any issues or discrepancies, including return material authorizations (RMAs).
Support purchase planning by liaising with project managers and engineers, assist in developing cost ROMs, and submit work orders.
Collaborate with internal buyers to obtain vendor quotes.
Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, contracts, finance) and external stakeholders (suppliers/vendors).
Maintain active communication with suppliers/vendors regarding order issues, configurations, and technical issues.
Ensure compliance with all regulations and laws governing supply chain activities.
Analyze supply chain data to identify improvement areas and prepare reports for management.
Identify and resolve supply chain issues such as delays, shortages, or quality problems.
Communicate with various stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Utilize problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education and Training
High School diploma required.
Associate's Degree in a technical/scientific discipline preferred.
Experience
7+ years of general full‑time work experience required.
5+ years of directly related experience required.
Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Procurement required.
Experience with government contracts under the FAR and DFARS preferred.
Experience with supply‑chain software and procurement tools preferred.
Security
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess a minimum DoD‑issued Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements while using a computer or measuring tools.
Dexterity to see fine print and use hand and precision measuring tools.
Adherence to safety protocols when working in areas requiring PPE (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel‑toed shoes).
Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time.
