- Strong cattleman that has Leadership, is diverse, and willing to work with a Feedlot, purebreds, grow & development yard, and assist with bull & heifer development for annual sale

- Good decision-maker, communicator, team player, and good record keeper is essential, and willing to help in all areas

- College degree is a plus, but experience with a solid & verified work history is also needed

- Good animal health skills, rations, reading bunks, knowing when cattle are off feed, and keeping on schedule are a must

- Ability in operating feed wagon, pay loader, scale, hauling manure, and other equipment around the ranch & feedlot is needed

- Handle and oversee routine maintenance and general repairs are kept up in a timely manner

**JOB DESCRIPTION****:**

Hansen Agri-Placement is in search of a Grow Yard and Development Working Manager for this grow yard/feedlot in Nebraska to manage and oversee daily operations for an upcoming retirement. Need experience in feedlot duties of feeding, walking yard, evaluation of cattle, sorting cattle, vaccinating, and yard maintenance as needed. A person must be dependable, have good decision-making skills, be a self-starter, and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation. This is a purebred operation, so any experience in working with purebred in a development yard, calving, record keeping, and fitting cattle for annual sale is a plus. Ideally, the employer would like to see someone who has 5+ years of working experience with cattle in a feedlot setting to bring some leadership, knowledge, and upper skill set with them to this position.
