The Float Customer Care Representative (CCR) is responsible to accurately register patients for outpatient services and inpatient admissions and scheduling patients. The Float CCR is responsible for insurance verifications and co-pay collections. The Float CCR is knowledgeable about the organization to assist patients when needed. CMH Caregivers contribute to CMH success by providing exceptional service that is respectful, compassionate and customized to the individual’s needs by anticipating and exceeding expectations.
Job Requirements
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to flow between tasks; exercise independent judgment as needed and perform assigned duties in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficient with general office equipment including computer, fax, scanner, and multi-line phone system.
Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
Typing accuracy of at least 10 keys per minute with minimal error.
Ability to work in CMH clinics as well as in the hospital.
Patience, attentiveness, clear communication, excellent time management, and a calming presence.
Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
License/Certification None
Education and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology knowledge preferred and experience in healthcare field preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Position involves standing, walking, stopping, and occasional carrying and lifting or lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May require sitting for extended periods. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; hand and finger dexterity to use computer keyboard and common office equipment. Potential for contact with blood, body fluids or tissues.
