Compute Leader The Compute Leader at Koch Technologies is responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and innovation across the organization’s compute infrastructure, including Linux, Windows, storage, backup/recovery, and datacenter. This role leads a high‑performing global team to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient compute solutions that align with business outcomes, empower transformation, and provide rock‑solid operations. The Compute Leader collaborates with cross‑functional teams, senior leadership, the businesses, and external partners to ensure the compute environment supports current and future business needs.
Location and Visa This role can be located in Wichita, KS / Plano, TX / Atlanta, GA and requires an onsite presence 5 days/week.

What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership: Develop and maintain the roadmap for compute infrastructure, aligning with business objectives and long‑term growth strategies.
Architecture & Operations: Lead the operations of scalable, secure, and resilient compute architecture, including cloud, virtualization, and data‑center solutions.
Innovation & Transformation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, fostering innovation through experimentation and adoption of best practices.
Team Development: Lead a global team of analysts, engineers, and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Business Connections: Partner with internal teams (businesses, IT operations, product owners, security, etc.) and external vendors to drive strategic initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
Process Optimization & Modernization: Identify and implement process improvements, automation and modernization opportunities, and operational efficiencies to enhance reliability, scalability, performance, and cost‑effectiveness.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure compute environments adhere to security, compliance, and quality standards, supporting audits and risk‑management activities.
Performance Management: Present architecture strategies, product updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership and the businesses, driving accountability and transparency.
Critical & Economic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think economically & strategically, drive transformation, optimize operations, and deliver business outcomes through technology, people, and processes.
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated global leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Experience in compute infrastructure, IT operations, or related technical leadership roles.
Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing large‑scale compute environments (cloud, virtualization, data centers).
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V), operating systems (Linux, Windows) and enterprise server/storage solutions.
Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, DevOps practices) and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC).
Preferred Attributes
Experience leading global teams in a shared‑services environment.
Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures.
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
Familiarity with security‑by‑design, proactive management, and enhanced observability practices.
