The Hilton Tampa Downtown wants its next General Manager for the new Che Vita Restaurant. The upscale property boasts contemporary design with 520 upscale guestrooms and 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Executive Chef James King brings 20 years of culinary expertise to the hotel’s 5 dining options. Che Vita brings the soul of Southern Italy to Tampa, inspired by Campania, Puglia and Sicily, offering a vibrant dining experience that celebrates la dolce vita.

Ideal candidate: at least 3 years of restaurant general management experience, leadership skills, knowledge of operations and restaurant sales.

Shift Pattern:

Full availability, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel’s business needs and occupancy.

What will I be doing?

Plan and direct all aspects of restaurant operations: guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting, forecasting, department management and policy enforcement.

Monitor and develop team member performance: provide supervision, professional development, counsel, evaluations and recognize achievements.

Maintain customer database and partner with Sales and Marketing/Public Relations on marketing strategy.

Maximize efficiency using technology systems (e.g., OpenTable).

Monitor service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, and make improvements.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.

Initiate and implement up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services, including creating new menus and cross‑selling products hotel‑wide.

Recruit, interview and train team members.
