A fast-growing automated equipment and coating systems manufacturer is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support custom finishing system projects. Responsibilities
Manage projects from order intake through installation and acceptance Serve as the primary liaison between customers, engineering, purchasing, and field service teams Plan and track schedules, budgets, milestones, and documentation Coordinate sub-suppliers (ovens, washers, conveyors, fans, auxiliary equipment) Support onsite and remote installation activities Review and approve mechanical drawings and vendor documentation Assist with design of brackets, fixtures, safety fences, and robot stands Lead project review meetings and coordinate resources Maintain clear communication with customers Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Create system manuals and technical documentation Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field) 3–7 years’ experience in technical project management or mechanical engineering Strong understanding of mechanical/automation systems Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Experience with purchasing and vendor management Seniority level
