Position Overview A commercial glazing contractor is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee projects involving
stick-built curtain wall ,
storefront systems , and
interior upfit glazing . The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of glazing projects from award to closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and installation oversight
Coordinate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure scope, design intent, and timelines are met
Review shop drawings, submittals, material orders, and installation logistics
Prepare and maintain project schedules, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
Conduct site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Lead project meetings and provide timely communication to stakeholders
Manage cost control, forecasting, and billing to ensure project profitability
Support field crews with technical guidance related to stick curtain wall, storefront, and interior glass systems
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the commercial glazing industry
Strong knowledge of stick curtain wall, storefront, and interior upfit glazing systems
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
Preferred Skills
Experience working with fabrication or installation teams
Understanding of aluminum systems, glass types, and glazing installation methods
Familiarity with safety regulations and construction-site best practices
