Job Description
The
Immunology Pipeline Commercial Strategy Business Development
role will report to the Director of Business Development, Pipeline Commercialization Strategy, Immunology. This role will play an integral part in sourcing and evaluating external innovation opportunities through leadership and management of commercial assessments related to the TA strategy. The role will support due diligence on deals and drive the Immunology business development process internally and externally, targeting licensing/acquisition of key therapeutic assets, R&D collaborations, and related enabling collaborations.
Key Responsibilities Work with internal research, development, search and evaluation, commercial, and financial analytics experts on the evaluation, due diligence, and initial product development plan for proposed transactions, supporting the overall product evaluation process, including clinical/scientific assessments, evaluation of the commercial opportunity, analysis of the competitive landscape, and financial modeling.
Serve as commercial lead for internal due diligence process with Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance, Legal & IP, and Manufacturing to conduct detailed evaluation.
Lead commercial due diligence of external assets and ensure that tight timelines are on track.
Partner with the Pipeline Commercialization Strategy TA team and cross‑functional partners to ensure BD strategy is in line with our Disease Area strategy and immunology strategic planning, and create target product profiles for external asset evaluations.
Work with the APEX team to perform any market assessments needed.
Provide commercial input on clinical development plans for external asset evaluations.
Guide the forecasting team in external asset sales modeling.
Lead the development of commercial P&Ls, including operating expense assumptions.
Frame strategic and financial benefits of deals under evaluation.
Generate and present clear and concise commercial diligence decks to Senior Leadership.
Attend scientific and medical conferences to stay abreast of new developments in key therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
Core Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking/financing, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical company.
Robust understanding of the full drug development process, lifecycle management, and commercialization of therapeutics.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and proactively, with high planning, coordination, and project management skills, and problem‑solving ability.
Clarity in communication and expertise in producing crisp, executive‑ready presentations.
Organized, detail‑oriented personality capable of multitasking.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills who enjoys collaboration.
Impeccable integrity, work ethic, and commitment.
Preferred Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D., or M.D.).
Experience in BD within a biotech, consultancy, or pharmaceutical company.
Strong knowledge of Immunology therapeutic and clinical areas.
Experience building/owning a deal model and/or generating revenue forecasts and P&L models.
Additional Information The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and the Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive programs.
