Project Manager, PE Jones Networking is recruiting for a Project Manager with an active PE license to join a growing residential construction and engineering firm in Huntersville, NC. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with 3+ years of experience to lead a team of engineers and drafters while driving quality, efficiency, and innovation across residential structural projects. This role is hybrid, offering flexibility with 1–2 in‑office days per week.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to a team of Engineers and Drafters.

Oversee each engineer’s project portfolio, conducting regular check‑ins and serving as the primary point of contact for technical questions and guidance.

Lead the planning, design, and execution of residential structural projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Review and approve project deliverables, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and regulations.

Develop and implement efficient workflows and project management practices to maximize team performance.

Provide mentorship and ongoing professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with construction, design, and client service teams to ensure alignment across all project phases.

Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and internal leadership to ensure transparency and client satisfaction.

Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and business planning in support of the company’s expanding client base.

Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

3+ years of experience in structural or civil engineering, preferably within residential or light commercial construction.

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong understanding of residential building systems including timber framing, roof systems, and helical piers.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to balance technical detail with big‑picture project oversight.
