Perform a front-line coordination role in support of assigned work area; within the defined team or area – coordinate activities and operation. Ensure materials are in place, product flow is efficient and the production schedule is adhered to.

Responsibilities

Participate in operational and safety training of associates on team

Reports operational issues to Supervisor

Ensures sufficient staff to meet production needs, reports attendance/numbers to Supervisor

Monitors production flow, sequencing, and numbers – reports to Supervisor

Reports BOM and engineering errors to Supervisor

Fills in on line where necessary through shift

Provides technical support and guidance to line associates

Monitors quality in assigned area and reports issues to Supervisor

Completes and/or monitors production charts and documentation

Evaluates scrap/waste/rework during shift, assesses causes, and reports to Supervisor

Monitors and reports on TPM

Participates in and supports CI process

Ensures KPI boards are current, and all checklists are being filled out

Ensures communication with appropriate coordinators to ensure smooth product flow and material management through the plant

Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives

Education Requirement High School diploma or equivalent experience

Qualifications

Experience in a high paced manufacturing environment

3 – 5 years’ relevant experience

Verbal and written communication skills (English)

Should possess problem solving skills and facilitate group meetings

Computer skills – JDE, Excel, Word

Knowledge of manufacturing operations

Knowledge of fundamental Safety principles for an industrial work environment

Must have experience with process improvement

Skilled in the operation of manufacturing equipment for designated area

Some lean manufacturing knowledge & implementation

Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001 required
