Experience with SAP is highly preferred.

Job Description An Aviation company is hiring a motivated and experienced Commodity/Sourcing Manager to join their Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of sourcing activities for direct materials, with a focus on mechanical commodities (machined and sheet metal parts, cables, fasteners) and potentially some electronics distribution. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, and the ability to work collaboratively across various internal teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct spend analysis to identify resourcing opportunities.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Compile technical data packages (TDPs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
Create and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs), including sending to market, evaluating responses, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, understanding key contract terms and levers for best value (not just cost).
Manage supplier onboarding, including transition of existing supply base.
Perform cost modeling and analysis.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment on requirements.
Work with SAP for data analysis and reporting.
