SCOPE OF POSITION The Business Development Associate is responsible for driving new business opportunities and revenue growth within healthcare markets tied to GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) networks and health system design standards. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with affiliated healthcare facilities, purchasing contacts, and architectural & design (A&D) firms to influence product interest, purchasing activity, and basis of design (BOD) specifications. The Account Development Coordinator will collaborate closely with field sales representatives, marketing, and strategic partners to expand market penetration and ensure our products are positioned as the preferred solutions within targeted health systems and design standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospect & Develop New Opportunities: Identify and qualify new business opportunities within GPO-aligned healthcare networks and affiliated facilities.
Revenue Growth: Drive product interest and conversion through direct engagement with healthcare purchasing contacts and points of purchase (e.g., distribution partners, GPO portals, or facility procurement systems).
Influence Design Standards: Engage with affiliated architectural and design firms to facilitate introductions and meetings with local field reps to promote our products as the preferred basis of design (BOD) solutions.
Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships across assigned health networks, GPO accounts, and associated A&D contacts to ensure alignment with network standards and project pipelines.
Pipeline & CRM Management: Track all opportunities, contacts, and communications through CRM tools; report on progress, trends, and conversion metrics.
Collaboration with Field Sales: Partner with local reps to coordinate project pursuits, specification efforts, and joint calls to optimize field coverage and opportunity closure.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed on healthcare network activity, GPO agreements, and competitor positioning to identify new avenues for growth.
Cross-functional Alignment: Work with Marketing, Product Management, and Strategic Accounts to support promotional campaigns and targeted outreach efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of inside sales, customer service, business development, or account management experience; healthcare, construction, or design industry experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GPO structures, healthcare/IDN procurement, and A&D specification processes.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral, and relationship-building.
CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
Highly organized and goal-oriented, with a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Must be very organized and have a desire and ability to organize/lead others.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to work with others and on a team.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)
Number of new opportunities generated and qualified.
Revenue growth attributed to healthcare/GPO-affiliated accounts.
Number of new A&D firm engagements and BOD specifications influenced.
Conversion rate from opportunity to order.
Quality and consistency of CRM documentation and reporting.

PAY & BENEFITS Annual Salary Range: $55,000 — $75,000. Range will vary by experience and geographic market.
