Business Development Manager – Greater Syracuse Area Colonial Life is looking for a passionate Business Development Manager to lead and mentor independent agents in delivering voluntary benefits to employees throughout the greater Syracuse area.

Base Pay Range $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Coach, mentor, and inspire other sales agents.

Identify, interview, and recruit new sales agents.

Provide hands‑on field training and collaborative work experiences.

Facilitate sales meetings and training sessions.

Drive B2B employee benefits sales and manage client accounts.

Establish strong connections with business owners, HR professionals, and key decision makers.

Create a dynamic, competitive, and team‑oriented environment.

Cultivate and sustain relationships with brokers.

Qualifications

Experience in B2B sales.

Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead sales teams.

Background in insurance sales with an active Life & Accident/Health Insurance license (or willingness to obtain).

Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while inspiring teams.
