Position Summary You are the first touchpoint in the sales cycle, representing the Clearwater brand in responding to inquiries that flow through marketing channels and reaching out to prospective clients who fit our target profile. Your day‑to‑day as a Business Development Representative involves researching and creating targeted prospect lists, engaging with prospects, qualifying leads, and booking discovery conversations for the Clearwater Sales team.

Responsibilities

Research and create targeted lists of prospects who can benefit from Clearwater managed services, consulting services, and software offerings.

Engage with prospects via email, phone, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and Salesloft to identify needs and pain points.

Qualify prospects and schedule discovery conversations for Sales representatives.

Maintain Salesforce records, logging outreach activities and updating account information with relevant intelligence.

Execute high‑volume outbound prospecting, including 100+ emails per day and follow‑up calls triggered by opens or clicks.

Collaborate with Sales for regional events and sponsored conferences to secure onsite meetings with target executives.

Continuously improve sales development skills and learn career paths within cybersecurity sales.

Requirements

0–2 years of working experience in a Sales Development Representative or Business Development Representative role; a strong track record of achieving KPIs is preferred.

Prior experience in cybersecurity and/or healthcare services/technology is a plus.

Experience selling multiple services to multiple target markets is a plus.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree.

Strong communication skills via phone and email; ability to influence decision makers across a variety of organizations.

Proven creative problem‑solving and strong analytical skills.

Team‑oriented and capable of collaborating across departments.

Knowledge and ability to use a multi‑channel prospecting approach, including sequences in SalesLoft.

Self‑motivated, independent, and adaptable to process improvements.

Strong relationship building with account executives to convey Clearwater’s value proposition and products.

Drive, resilience, and motivation to succeed in a target‑driven environment.

Quick learner who owns development and actively seeks feedback.

Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this role is $50,000. The base salary is part of our total rewards package, which also includes merit‑based salary increases, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and leave benefits in line with your work state. Our robust time‑off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and paid sick time. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on individual experience, skills, education, and other factors permitted by law.
