QA Inspector – Cavalier, ND
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified QA Inspector to work on federal construction projects in Cavalier, ND.
Base pay range:
$75,000 – $90,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Observe and investigate construction phases for compliance with schedules, specifications, and shop drawings, identifying problems and recommending changes.
Perform inspections and complete daily site reports in RMS, including comments on progress, safety issues, and subcontractor manpower.
Assist in all phases of contract modification, preparing scopes of work for RFPs, government estimates, and reviewing contractor proposals.
Review and analyze contractor plans and technical submittals for approval action, including progress schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs.
Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, REAs, RFIs and other technical issues.
Prepare partial and final payment estimates, measuring and computing pay item quantities and verifying materials.
Monitor scheduled progress of construction activities, advising the Resident Engineer, COR, and project team of potential slippage or delay.
Participate and execute RFI and submittal reviews, coordinating with designers and technical experts.
Log and maintain data to assist with project management and decision making.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED minimum; construction related degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of applicable experience on large complex multimillion dollar federal projects, Department of Defense or USACE preferred.
Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
Experience with three-phase inspection process.
Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.
Must be a US Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
