The Opportunity The Self‑Pay Operations Specialist II is responsible for following up on patient accounts with a self‑pay balance for assigned clients, meeting Ensemble’s mission and all regulatory compliance requirements. The role is performed within organizational policies and processes.
This position is on‑site and candidates must be able to work at the Blue Ash CBO in Cincinnati, OH.
Compensation Pay range: $18.65 – $19.90 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential Job Functions
Print and mail medical records, itemized bills, and other required documents sourced from client host systems, EIQ, shared folders, Teams folders, emails or virtual fax.
Pull and distribute documentation to other individuals or departments.
Print daily hard‑copy payers UB’s, 1500’s, Medical Records & EOB’s and process them for mailing from the same sources.
Provide daily volume, backlog and workflow information; pull various reports and work on special projects as needed.
Review patient accounts, work queues, work lists, patient portals, and respond to emails from patients, payors, attorneys, etc.
Identify, investigate, and correct account errors or communicate with other departments to resolve them.
Partner with other departments to resolve patient complaints or situations that affect the patient.
Perform additional duties as required by supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.
Ensemble Required License
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire – Company Paid.
Job Experience
3 to 5 years of related experience.
Education Level
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Microsoft Office experience
Revenue Cycle knowledge
Critical thinking
Ability to work with moderate supervision
