Role Overview Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering New Generation Services (NGS) projects from conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start‑up, performance testing, initial operations, and prime contract close‑out. Provide leadership for the development and maintenance of a high‑performance project team. Overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring delivery within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety, and customer and Mitsubishi Power performance expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a single project or serve as Deputy Project Manager, leading a project team to deliver outcomes; responsibilities vary by domain and delivery method.

Prepare and participate in risk, issue, and opportunity identification through detailed contract analysis and develop mitigation strategies.

Develop project baseline income statement with estimating and cost control groups, coordinate cost reporting, and provide regular analysis.

Oversee integrated project schedule, ensuring critical path and resources are identified and executed.

Expand scope, develop change order technical and pricing strategies, and prepare execution plans.

Direct all phases of assigned projects using program and project methodologies, tools, and quality standards; monitor change control, configuration, performance measures, cost, schedule, project organization, and technology environment.

Monitor all project activity—including schedules and spending—to ensure timely and quality completion; notify Director of Project Management of significant impacts.

Establish alliances with other departments and organizations, recognize dependencies, and maintain constructive relationships.

Facilitate scheduled project status meetings with owner, owners’ reps, vendors, subcontractors, and others; prepare and distribute minutes.

Prepare and submit change orders for approval based on LOA.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field from a 4‑year college or university.

Four to six or more years of related experience in managing power generation or oil and gas projects.

PMP certification is desired, but not mandatory.

Some overnight travel, up to 50% by land and/or air.
