Job Details We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Casting Maintenance Manager for a permanent position in our dynamic Engineering team. This role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of our casting and extrusion processes, ensuring optimal equipment performance and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of maintenance for the metal casting and extrusion processes, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Implement and manage predictive maintenance programs, using data‑driven techniques to anticipate and prevent equipment failures.
Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and improve quality and efficiency.
Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify and resolve issues affecting equipment performance.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and improve overall operational efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and training to maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role in the metal casting or extrusion industry.
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a proven track record of process optimization and continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge of metal casting and extrusion processes and standard practices.
Proven experience in implementing and managing predictive maintenance programs.
Proficient in root‑cause analysis techniques with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to staff development and training.
Strong budget management skills, focusing on cost‑effectiveness and resource optimization.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
