Senior Scheduler – Head of Southeast Division, Appleton Finn
Appleton Finn, a nationally recognized heavy civil contractor, is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join its Denver-area operations. The role involves developing, analyzing, and maintaining detailed CPM schedules for projects ranging from $50M to $500M+.
Base Pay Range $160,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr
Employment Type Full-Time | On-Site
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Primavera P6 for heavy civil projects.
Collaborate with operations teams and field staff to ensure schedules reflect true field conditions and sequencing.
Lead schedule analysis, risk identification, and time impact evaluations.
Provide input during preconstruction and bid phases, assisting with baseline and pursuit schedules.
Support monthly progress updates, reporting, and executive briefings.
Mentor junior schedulers and field personnel on scheduling principles and software best practices.
Engage regularly with the field – visiting sites to verify progress and provide schedule support.
Qualifications
7–15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction scheduling (highway, bridge, earthwork, utilities).
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6; TILOS or SmartPM exposure a plus.
Demonstrated success managing schedules on projects valued between $50M and $500M+.
Solid understanding of CPM methodology, risk analysis, and time impact documentation.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, field-focused approach.
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
