Become a full‑time Maintenance Apprentice in

Amherst, MA . Pay range

$21.00 to $22.00 per hour .

Property:

Mill Valley Estates (Amherst, MA)

Program 12‑month Career Development Program that combines on‑the‑job training with instruction from WinnCompanies. Participants gain:

2,000 hours of on‑the‑job training and 150 hours of technical instruction at The Peterson School in Worcester, MA. Travel and time are compensated.

Nationally recognized credentials: CPR, Safety Certification, OSHA 10, Certified Maintenance Apprentice Technician (CAMT) and other industry‑specific certifications.

A strong professional foundation in trades, safety, customer service and communication that prepares graduates for progressive wage increases.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs in appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting and basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.

Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market‑ready status in accordance with company standards.

Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.

Be available for on‑call activity during off‑hours and emergencies based on a pre‑determined schedule and need.

Requirements

Interest in pursuing a career in maintenance.

Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

Current driver’s license in good standing and ability to meet driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.

Basic familiarity with computers, tablets, computer systems and web‑based applications.

Excellent customer service skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to speak and understand basic English.

Ability to take initiative and work proactively.

Ability to travel to regional property sites and additional training as scheduled (mileage reimbursed).

Ability to meet emergency on‑call demands at your assigned property (both weekends and after regular working hours).

Preferred Qualifications

Vocational or Technical training.
