Supervisor – Production 1st Shift

Operations Management Responsibilities
Champion perfect safety, perfect quality.
Drive operational metrics: turn time, on‑time delivery, past dues, productivity.
Measure and report daily and weekly production performance data.
WIP management – collaborate with planning to drive monthly financial plan and assist in date management, level loading production.
Clear concise communication across all functional teams using T1, T2 boards, identifying actions to improve performance deficiencies.
Maintain stocks of materials and consumables, communicate and raise shortages or out‑of‑stock items.
Clear cross‑shift communications about shift deliverables, maintenance and equipment status.
Submit maintenance work orders, ensure all production equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately.
Lead 5S process – own the process, show daily progress, monthly audits, standardized work environment.
Maintain shop floor presence, situational awareness, self‑motivated, strategic problem solving, collaborate with functional teams.
Attend all scheduled meetings timely.
Compliance with all company policies, procedures, live Chromalloy values, regulatory requirements (repair station manual, quality systems manuals, department procedures).
Ensure production team is properly trained and adequately staffed with FAA repairmen.
Personnel Management Responsibilities
Department training at 95% or greater.
Continual development of the production team completing Tooling U and LinkedIn training courses.
Payroll approved weekly; each Monday by 9 am.
Attendance and time‑off approved two weeks in advance; time‑off not to exceed 10%.
Provide supportive management – coach, develop, motivate, problem solve each team member.
Compliance with operation time standards; adjust standards when too low or too high.
Allocate resources to achieve deadlines.
Complete and present performance reviews on time: 30‑60‑90, 6‑month, annual; develop plans to acquire needed skills.
Disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications
Repair station and new manufacturing experience.
A&P license or certificate holder who can meet Part 65 reparation qualifications.
Experience with aircraft component processes: machining, welding, vacuum and coating furnace, inspection, thermal spray, chemical strip, brazing, plating.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, 5S, Kaizen methodologies.
Execution of KPI management and delivery.
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency – intermediate/advanced required.
Ability to navigate multiple ERP platforms to obtain data.
Collaboration with HR, Safety, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Customer Service.
Strategic problem solving and organizational skills.
Self‑motivated with high ownership, integrity, accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or refugee (ITAR requirement).
Fluent English (reading, writing, comprehension) – FAA requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Current A&P License.
Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt.
Education & Experience
Associate degree/bachelor’s degree preferred.
Four years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
Due to government regulation, only U.S. persons may be considered for this role.
