What you’ll do

Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members

Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have

Maintain a clean, neat, and member‑ready area

Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner

Maintain inventory so there is no out of stock and over‑stock products

Core Responsibilities

Be a Team Member: maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner.

Be an Expert: understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (for example, taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.

Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.

Be an Owner: drive the performance of the area; utilize digital tools; use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; and assist customers according to company policies and procedures.

Be a Talent Ambassador: advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high‑quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
