Plant Maintenance Technician

Greer Stop Nut has an immediate opening for an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining equipment and facilities for our 90,000 square‑foot manufacturing plant located just off of Nolensville Pike near the Nashville Zoo. This is a full‑time day‑shift position with the opportunity for some overtime.
In this role you will provide planned and unplanned maintenance and repair to a variety of manufacturing equipment, such as presses, CNC and manual machining equipment, large air compressors, and other devices used in the plant.

Primary Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns, swiftly identify faults, and efficiently problem‑solve to minimize production downtime on equipment such as CNC lathes, screw machines, tapping equipment, industrial presses, hydraulic lines, and pumps.
Perform common maintenance tasks including mechanical, lubrication, pneumatic, hydraulic, and repair of production machines.
Resolve general maintenance items related to lighting, plumbing, painting, and material moving.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, conduct scheduled testing, and listen for irregular noises.
Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management to promote continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
Support the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment as required.
Analyze spare parts requirements and identify obsolete or excess parts.
Maintain good housekeeping in the shop and at the job site.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Highly organized and self‑motivated; can work independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.
Complies with company and departmental policies and procedures, including attendance policy.
Responds quickly and professionally to production needs.
Maintains company tools and equipment to ensure availability and serviceability.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in repair/maintenance of industrial production machinery, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Experience in CNC machine maintenance and PLC programming and repair is strongly preferred.
Experience in robotic maintenance is a plus.
High‑school diploma or GED expected.
Knowledge of hazardous material handling protocols, OSHA safety standards, and NEC.
