Position Overview As part of the RSN Parts Management Team, you will manage spare parts inventory and distribution for the Roche Diagnostics service network. You will collaborate with Roche Support Network (RSN) service teams, global Distribution Center teams, and Global Customer Support (GCS) buyer‑planner teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and reliable supply.
The Opportunity This role offers a chance to shape a world‑class service supply chain by implementing a spare parts planning software solution and driving continuous improvement across the global network.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a rolling demand and supply plan for service parts.
Collaborate with GCS buyer‑planner teams on US affiliate requirements.
Identify opportunities and coordinate parts movements across the distribution network.
Manage service parts inventory and optimize target levels through planning parameters.
Implement replenishment strategies that balance supply timeliness with inventory and transportation cost.
Identify potential backordered items and take early corrective action.
Define customer and channel partner segmentation/prioritization with Field Support Teams.
Analyze data, install base, failure rates, and usage to identify inventory optimization opportunities.
Lead spare parts planning for new product introductions and end‑of‑life transitions.
Consult with service teams on process improvement related to spare parts management.
Attend regional service team meetings to understand front‑line stakeholder experience.
Disseminate best practices for technician and field team spare parts usage.
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including field leadership.
Provide updates and presentations on spare parts planning and inventory status.
Contribute to the design and implementation of the RSN Spare Parts strategy.
Manage standardized request processes for deviations from the supply plan.
Recommend changes in customer service target levels.
Act as proxy for Lead, representing the Parts Management team as needed.
Lead spare parts projects such as Inventory Optimization, Network Design, and Inventory Rebalancing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or 4 years of related work experience.
5 years of experience in logistics, marketing, production, inventory control, or purchasing with an international focus.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in spare parts planning and execution, including planning software.
3+ years of experience with SAP.
Ability to collaborate and optimize parts inventory levels in a global environment.
Project management experience with demonstrable project outcomes.
APICS Certification (CPIM and/or CSCP preferred).
Subject matter expertise in supply‑chain planning processes and methodologies.
Experience with transportation modes for spare parts distribution (small parcel, courier, expedites, NFO, etc.).
Degree in supply chain or business.
Experience working in a globally distributed environment.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
Familiarity with data visualization and workflow tools (Tableau, Alteryx).
Salaries and Benefits Salary range: $78,600.00 – $146,000.00 (based on Indiana location). Actual pay will vary with experience, qualifications, geography, and job‑related factors approved by law.
