Director of Services
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program services for individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI) or substance use disorders (SUD), and for children and adults served 24/7 in Crisis Services and the Crisis Intervention Team.
Provide leadership and motivation to Pre‑admission Screening, Mandatory Outpatient Treatment, Mobile Crisis Response, Community Crisis Stabilization, Crisis Intervention Team Assessment Center, Regional Mobile Crisis Response, Co‑Response, Community Health Worker, and 23‑Hour Crisis Stabilization services and programming.
Act as a clinical resource to Crisis Services and Crisis Intervention Team staff by providing ongoing clinical supervision.
Serve as a member of the Behavioral Health Services Division management team.
Provide direct supervision to Crisis Services and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) coordinators and supervisors.
Maintain professional relationships with state and local, public and private facilities and uphold positive public relations within the community.
Consult with community agencies and the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) to develop strategies ensuring quality services.
Monitor services to assure compliance with licensure and regulations, identify alternate funding sources, and oversee program reimbursements and expenditures.
Perform quality assurance reviews of program records; collect and compile data; respond to surveys, questionnaires, and other monitoring tools; and participate in Division scheduled on‑call services.
Qualifications
M1:
Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work that includes coursework for licensure by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner in Virginia.
M2:
At least five years of experience working with individuals in a therapeutic setting.
M3:
At least two years of supervisory experience.
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug‑free workplace.
Annual salary range $64,980 - $113,716.
