Job Summary The Assistant Manager, Operations is a key member of the store leadership team responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include managing business enablers (P&L, budget, expenses, cash), maintaining inventory and vendor relationships, writing the weekly schedule, completing payroll and other administrative tasks, and executing company‑driven operations projects.
Core Responsibilities Of The Job Operations, Product, and Strategy
Implement the Store Manager’s operations vision and cascade it to the team.
Plan and prepare the weekly team member schedule according to labor requirements, availability, and budget.
Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
Review, monitor, and partner with the Store Manager to manage the budget and other business data and metrics (e.g., P&L, expenses) and inform planning processes.
Provide retail floor leadership to team members, ensuring efficient coverage and effective floor operations.
Support sell‑through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to receive product deliveries efficiently.
Execute company‑level operations directives, projects, and initiatives.
Understand and adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
Leadership and People
Create and foster an inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences.
Perform administrative actions to support team members, including payroll, vacation/leave approvals, shift swaps, and documentation.
Inform people managers of projected team growth needs to support a strong and diverse workforce.
Establish supportive relationships with all team members, focusing on personal and professional development.
Guest Experience And Community
Facilitate a seamless end‑to‑end guest experience by monitoring omnichannel programs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure an optimal guest experience.
Resolve guest feedback and address escalations, helping to “make it right.”
Budget Responsibility
Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget and labor hours.
People Management
Indirectly responsible for a subset of store employees as delegated by the Store Manager.

1 year managing business operations and administration, including scheduling and planning of labor hours.
Job Assets (Nice to Have)
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 1 year retail or sales‑specific management experience.
Work Context
Work occurs in an environment with bright lights and loud music.
Work involves managing conflict and mediating problems between others.
Work involves meeting and building relationships with new people and community partners.
Work includes intermittent computer use and occasional moving of boxes up to 30 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits Package Base Pay Range : $23.19 – $31.38/hour, subject to minimum wage in the location
Target Bonus : 25%
Total Target Base Pay Range : $28.99 – $39.23/hour
