Overview

Serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the South Carolina State Guard (SCSG). Responsible to the Deputy Adjutant General and the Commander of the SCSG for the daily operations of the Headquarters, SCSG. Provides assistance and administrative guidance to Headquarters staff, SCSG staff, and subordinate units. Responsibilities

Analyzes problems or conflicts from outside agencies or subordinate units, researches facts bearing on the matter, and resolves or recommends solutions to the Chain of Command. Maintains regular communications with the Deputy Adjutant General, and SCSG Commander, Deputy Commander, and Chief of Staff to keep them informed of decisions, activities and operations. Acts as the Fiscal Program Manager for the SCSG to include development, planning, allocation, and execution of budgetary requirements. Manages information resources and capabilities, to include acquisition and use of all communications, reproduction, and data processing equipment. Coordinates the provision of services and support to SCSG personnel. Coordinates with the South Carolina Military Department (SCMD), South Carolina Army National Guard (SCARNG), and South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG) staffs, other Military Department organizations, other State and local agencies, and voluntary organizations as required. Acts as Armory Manager for the Olympia Armory to include coordinating the maintenance and rental of the facility. Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed. Qualifications

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for required work experience. Proficient (minimum 1 year) knowledge and experience working in South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) module. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Excel and Word. Demonstrated understanding of the agency’s Vision, Mission, and programs. Demonstrated ability to manage work and provide guidance to employees. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing complex programs such as Administration, Budget/Finance, and Human Resources.
