Scope of Position
Manages the overall control and movement of materials in and out of plants. Directs and administers some or all the following: communication when purchasing needs involved, production scheduling and control, inventory and warehouse stock control, warehousing, customer sales order entry, customer service, traffic and shipping.
Minimum Requirements
10 years experience in a production environment
Minimum of five years of supervision and scheduling experience
Must be computer literate, with very strong computer skills
Must be organized
Ability to work with others in a team environment
Job Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the Production Control department.
Coordinate with shipping/receiving team all inbound/outbound shipments are supported for production requirements.
Review weekly customer releases, analyze balance to build conditions.
Reviews daily with planning team suppliers on time and past due deliveries.
Based upon customer releases and inventories on hand, works with planning team and production team to set schedule considering capacities and manpower requirements.
Works with Quality Control on any issues with defective material, Production Control relative to any late deliveries and coordinates all vendor returns.
Monitors daily plant production, ensuring all customers schedules are being met.
Reviews all inventory cycle counts and investigates any significant variances.
Coordinates and manages physical inventories.
Ensures full compliance with all MAFACT, Q1 and MMOGLE requirements.
Ensure all legislative requirements of OSHA are met.
Additional duties as assigned by Management.
