Position Summary
The Office of School Health (OSH) nursing program includes school nurses, nursing supervisors, and Public Health Advisors/Assistants, who work under the guidance of borough specific assistant nursing directors to manage staffing and the delivery of direct care and case coordination. OSH requests contracted nurses from NYCPS approved vendors to supplement nurse vacancies and trips upon school nurses (or designee) request. These nurses and vendors submit timesheets that must be reviewed and approved to ensure accuracy and to submit for reimbursement to Medicaid for EPSDT reimbursement. The Timesheet Associate conducts this work and performs related duties.

Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate documentation of community-based health services by managing data entry of service allocations into vendor Master Allocation Worksheets and maintaining comprehensive service records; detail time allocations for discrepancies between internal charge reports and vendor submitted timesheets.
Maintain organized filing systems for all community health service documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and secure storage of EPSDT folders and related materials for community stakeholders.
Serve as primary community liaison for timesheet review process including school coverage work (EPSDT) and individualized nursing services (1:1 and TN) / community health services.
Foster strong relationships with community health vendors and service providers to ensure timely and complete submission of service documentation and maintain open lines of communication; work closely with billing coordinators for missing confirmation numbers and other incomplete/missing data.
Conduct regular bi-weekly review of missing timesheets/confirmations from vendors for accurate and complete data from community partners; support EPSDT mandates on the reimbursement process.
Coordinate with community health service providers and vendors to ensure seamless delivery of EPSDT services and individualized nursing care to families and students.
Qualification Requirements Minimum
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, individuals must have two additional years of the experience described in "1" above.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in MS Office 365 applications.
Experience with data entry.
Ability to navigate databases.
Ability to multi-task.
Salary $51,094 - $56,000 (Internal candidates who are selected for this position and who currently hold comparable or less senior positions within the DOE will not earn less than their current salary.) NOTE: The filling of all positions is subject to budget availability and/or grant funding.
