Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. Provide supervisory guidance and maintain effective interdepartmental communication. Evaluate, assess, plan, and treat within the licensed discipline; delegate and supervise tasks of therapists, assistants, and technicians. Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communication to ensure adequate patient coverage. Maintain open, ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs. Provide patient care within the licensed discipline 80%–90% of work hours. Help create and sustain an environment aligned with the hospital mission, drive performance, and support continuous improvement through staff development and mentoring. Position Requirements
Current State license as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist. BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire for this role. SLP clinicians must have Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC). Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of three years of discipline-specific or leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a clinical role. Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certification preferred. Machines and Equipment
General office equipment (computer/laptop, telephone, copier/fax, calculator, scanner). Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Physical Requirements
Visual acuity, speech recognition, and clear speech. Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 pounds, including equipment and patient transfers. Reasonable accommodations may be provided. Skills and Abilities
Oral and written communication, active listening; ability to speak and understand English. Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking. Coordination, analysis, observation, decision-making, and meeting deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. Ability to work independently without continuous supervision. Environmental Conditions
Indoor, temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment; occasional outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to blood and body fluids. Handicapped accessible; may work under stressful circumstances at times. Proficiency and Productivity Standards
Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance; adherence to dress code and ID badge policy. Adherence to Standards of Business Conduct; keep licensure and/or certifications current. May be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, and during disaster situations. May perform other duties as assigned; contribute to an inclusive, diverse work environment.
