Overview Kemin is hiring an Expediter to keep our Warehouse operations running smoothly. In this fast‑paced role, you’ll coordinate order picking, trucking schedules, truck loading, and shipping documentation for both raw materials and finished products. You’ll handle storage, inventory transactions, staging shipments, and filling containers and tankers—all while maintaining strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

This Expediter will work Wednesday‑Saturday 6:00am‑4:15pm.

Responsibilities

Must be qualified and able to perform all tasks and duties of a Warehouser 1, 2, & 3.

Have good customer service skill when dealing with internal and external customers.

Responsible for arranging international shipments, including customs documentation, as applicable.

Coordinate and interact with other departments to facilitate effective operations such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Quality Control, Production, Maintenance, Scheduling, Inventory Control, Purchasing, and R&D.

Management of shipping and receiving functions of one or multiple warehouses, while ensuring accurate inventory control, shipments, and on‑time deliveries.

Follow all safety, operating procedures and warehousing processes.

Have excellent understanding of all shipment and receiving requirements.

Direct warehouse staff toward meeting shipping schedule.

Possess/develop strong leadership skills.

Maintain required compliance standards.

Ensure all items shipped or received meet quality standards (e.g., properly labeled bags, correct products, lot numbers, and quantities on a pallet, pallets properly stacked, damages, etc.) defined within regulatory and quality standards in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's).

Have the knowledge and ability to review and change existing standard operating procedures (SOP's).

Frequent computer usage; generate a variety of reports using ERP system.

Ability to fulfill duties of other Warehouser functions, providing flexibility and understanding priorities of day‑to‑day department needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent, with 5+ years of applicable experience.

Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience.

Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience.

Knowledge of warehousing operations is essential.

Self‑motivation and problem‑solving skills.

Strong safety values.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to interact well with other departments.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications.

Excellent understanding of equipment utilized within warehouse operations. Ability to operate forklift and other support equipment utilized in warehousing or maintaining equipment; previous forklift experience required.

Must be reliable and have good attendance.

Multi‑tasking skills.

Effective problem‑solving and math skills.

A post‑offer background check and drug screen is required. Additional pre‑employment requirements may be necessary based on position.
