Join the Idaho Youth Ranch as a Thrift Store Adventurer and help provide essential services to at‑risk youth and families across Idaho. Our 29 statewide thrift stores allow families to shop for affordable goods while supporting our mission.
About Idaho Youth Ranch: For more than 60 years we’ve offered emergency shelter, residential care, substance‑abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more. Our focus is on early intervention, treating the whole child and staying with families until they’re ready to thrive.
Who we’re looking for : A people‑person with a friendly, approachable demeanor. You enjoy helping customers find what they need, spot eligible items for resale, and keep displays engaging. A keen eye on colors, organization, and visual appeal is essential.
What you’ll be doing
Support staff with routine product rotations to keep inventory fresh (rolling carts, placing products on the floor, pulling items).
Collect and categorize donations.
Enhance customer service by warmly greeting and assisting shoppers.
Price items in categories such as home goods, clothing, shoes, accessories, and books.
Maintain clean, well‑organized, visually appealing shelves and racks.

Requirements
At least 13 years old.
Submit application.
Complete a general criminal background check.
Attend an interview.
Comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer policies and procedures.
