Factory Commissioning Manager – Siemens Location:

Horseheads, NY (Chief Manufacturing Facility for High‑Speed Trains in the USA)

Overview:

Join a world‑class manufacturing facility as the Factory Commissioning Manager overseeing the commissioning of factory equipment and systems for the first high‑speed trains built in the US.

Responsibilities

Lead the commissioning process for new factory equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.

Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless equipment integration.

Perform thorough testing and validation of equipment performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during commissioning.

Provide training and support for operational staff with new equipment and systems.

Maintain accurate documentation of all commissioning activities and results.

Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and industry standards.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the commissioning phase.

Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning and managing manufacturing projects.

Strong technical knowledge of factory equipment and systems.

Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross‑functional teams.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range Salary range: $124,542 to $146,370

Actual wage may vary based on budget, candidate experience and qualifications.

Travel & Relocation The position requires extensive travel in the United States and internationally for extended periods of time for at least the first twenty‑four (24) months and possibly longer. Travel and in‑person training are essential job requirements and are a condition of employment. The company will cover all business expenses related to travel consistent with company policy.
