and contribute to large‑scale facility construction projects that impact the entire county. In this role you will support the Director in the development and oversight of capital projects involving new construction and renovations, and may serve as Project Manager and/or Construction Owner’s Representative.
Responsibilities
Manage the design and construction of large capital construction and renovation projects in accordance with all applicable standards, codes, and guidelines.
Assist in developing project budgets and scope.
Procure and review proposals for design in line with project scope and budget.
Provide oversight of the design process to meet project goals and requirements.
Assist in advertising and procuring proposals for assigned construction projects.
Provide owner oversight of the project budget, schedule, construction, commissioning, closeout, and warranty phases.
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related field of study.
Five years of experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer License or Architect License.
Additional Information Grade: 107. Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
