The Senior Materials Clerk is responsible for ensuring a consistent flow of complete and accurate outgoing shipments of interventional urology medical devices, supporting the supply of material to one or more manufacturing lines, and overall material handling responsibilities at the Burnsville, MN distribution center. This includes cycle counting, stocking and replenishment of raw materials and finished goods, and receiving raw materials, MRO items and other supplies to support the value stream.
General Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete cycle counts in the assigned area per agreed frequency.
Maintain accurate records to achieve a high level of inventory accuracy.
Address and resolve business system issues with IT as needed.
Cross‑train in other areas within the department.
Operate forklift, power jack and other material handling equipment.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety.
Promote continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with Coloplast’s Code of Ethics and company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Shipping Responsibilities
Pick and package surgical products for global shipping.
Prepare all documentation to support shipments and exportation paperwork.
Process all shipments utilizing the ERP system (E1) and perform day‑end processing.
Transport and store finished goods, replenish pickable locations and complete necessary transactions in E1.
Process returns from the field and work with Customer Service to resolve discrepancies.
Other duties as assigned.
Receiving Responsibilities
Verify that materials/products received match respective packing list and purchase order; enter transactions into E1 and stage items in the designated area.
Process all MRO incoming material and stage appropriately for distribution.
Process shipments to and from sterilization facilities and upon release from QC.
Prepare inter‑company product shipments, schedule with carrier and schedule routing.
Prepare and process miscellaneous shipments as requested through various departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Material Handling / Production Support Responsibilities
Physically issue materials to manufacturing work orders and enter material transfers into the appropriate application.
Receive incoming materials from suppliers and record the data.
Maintain the Chemical Room, including weekly inspections.
Assist QC/RA, Purchasing and Production in problem resolution (quality issues, material errors, shipping problems).
Ensure schedules and quality levels are met.
Maintain adequate inventory of supply items supporting production.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Eight or more years of warehouse experience in a medical device environment (preferred).
Experience with inventory management and shipping systems.
Proficiency with computerized business ERP systems.
Flexibility to work a variable schedule.
Ability to read and understand procedures.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and 75 pounds with assistance.
Prior forklift, power jack and other material handling equipment operation.
Ability to work in a team environment.
