Finance Operations Analyst

This role sits within WealthKernel Spain A.V., a Spanish investment firm regulated by the CNMV, and is part of the WealthKernel group’s European expansion and governance.

About the job The Finance Operations Analyst is a hands‑on operational role within the Finance function, supporting day‑to‑day financial activities while contributing to financial analysis, reporting and modelling.
Key Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and month‑end close processes.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records in line with Spanish GAAP and internal controls.
Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Help prepare documentation for auditors, tax advisors and external service providers.
Assist with financial modelling, forecasting and budget tracking.
Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions, cost control and operational planning.
Help maintain and improve financial models used for planning and reporting purposes.
Support the preparation of regular financial reports for internal stakeholders.
Assist in ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and processes.
Help identify process improvements and efficiencies within finance operations.
Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations and Compliance teams in Spain and the UK.
Support ad‑hoc finance‑related projects linked to growth, regulatory requirements or operational improvements.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in a finance, accounting or financial operations role.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
Strong Excel / spreadsheet skills and confidence working with numbers and financial models.
Hands‑on, proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved in operational tasks.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in a regulated financial services environment (investment firm, fintech, banking or similar).
Exposure to Spanish GAAP and/or regulatory reporting environments.
Experience working in a fast‑growing or technology‑driven company.
Familiarity with financial systems, ERP tools or automation‑friendly workflows.
