Job Summary Our Manager of Operations will oversee day-to-day operations and play a crucial role in keeping production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols following Company expectations. The role will report to the Regional Operations Leader and will plan and set up work schedules, staffing requirements and production activities that ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. He/she will facilitate Maintenance, Environment Health and Safety, and Engineering services to meet business objectives. In this role, the manager of operations facilitates and leads projects and continuous improvement to meet KPI initiatives. This position will oversee the status of projects and initiatives and is accountable for results of the business deliverables that are within the scope of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved; provide motivation, support, and guidance to employees.

Develop and implement strategies rooted in Lean Management principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Assist the Regional Operations Leader in formulating long and shortterm plans, policies, programs, and goals.

Recommend improvements to plant operations and set up procedures that uphold high manufacturing standards, ensuring products meet customer and company quality requirements.

Provide leadership and support to department managers to meet customer demands and keep market competitiveness.

Facilitate training and crosstraining programs to enhance workforce flexibility across departments.

Communicate performance updates, project status, and initiative progress across the organization.

Drive team performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.

Review production variances, scrap, and cycle count reports to ensure accuracy and find improvement opportunities.

Implement manufacturing policies and programs that strengthen the company's competitive position and profitability.

Collaborate closely with leaders across Operations, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Engineering to ensure effective plant operations.

Initiate and coordinate major projects, including plant layout changes, capital equipment installations, and significant repairs.

Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in manufacturing.

Take ownership of results within assigned areas, driving change and continuous improvement.

Perform added duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience

5-7 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in the coatings, adhesives, or chemical industry

Demonstrated success in continuous improvement practices and analysis

Strong ability to collaborate effectively in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in computer applications

Preferred

Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean methodologies

Experience with SAP

Knowledge of ISO Standards and Regulations

Knowledge of FDA Standards

Competency

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
