About The Role The FSQ Specialist manages finished goods positive release and net contents. Records statistical data, analyzes data, writes summaries to validate or highlight deviations from existing standards, and recommends modifications or new standards, methods, and procedures. Works closely with the Quality Team to identify, solve, and prevent problems affecting quality. The Specialist performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections, including standard microbiological, chemical, physical, or sensory testing and assays on products, materials, components, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
Accountabilities
Responsible for releasing or holding finished product
Responsible for holding product and rework documentation review and disposition
Track non-conforming inventory
Report all KPI information for the department (e.g., report out finished product scrap)
Involved in trace and recall procedures and support traceability exercises
Systems
SAP QM Super‑user: responsible for learning, implementing, teaching, maintaining, and reporting data from the GLOBE QM module of SAP
Release coordination, holds, and rework dispositions
Traceability for recall and withdrawal
Manage and update Quality Master Data
Inspection plan creation and management, ensuring alignment with QMS and HACCP
Intelex Super‑user for Quality
Overall trainer and super‑user for all quality applications
Participate in applicable portions of 3rd‑party and customer audits
Document Control owner: review new and existing corporate quality policies and procedures, update internal plant documents as necessary, and develop plant‑wide documentation control processes to meet audit requirements
Responsible for Net Contents system support and reporting: support the functionality of Net Contents software on the factory floor, complete and assess lot summary reports for compliance, oversee batch status and WMS, hold and release within warehouse systems
Floor Support
Audit GMPs, procedures, and paperwork on the production floor
Conduct coaching and training for employees
Identify gaps in procedures or processes
Support improvement initiatives (e.g., complaints, holds) with factory, and drive improvement projects
Maintain consumer complaint awareness through distribution of top complaints for production lines
Daily review of HACCP documentation on the shop floor
Daily behavior‑based quality observations
Conduct special projects as assigned
Support needed for sample shipment
Able to work flexible hours and cover off shifts
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or another related field, required
Preferably 1–3 years of manufacturing and/or laboratory experience in the food industry (internship experiences will be considered)
Sound mathematical and basic food science understanding
Good knowledge of statistics and interpretation of experimental data
Basic understanding of the manufacturing environment and production operations
Detail‑oriented, self‑initiative, ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast‑paced environment
Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and basic food regulatory requirements
Proficiency in SAP is preferred

Compensation Package $31.21 – $31.21 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts. The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
