Process Development Associate (Attribute Sciences)
Join the Amgen team as a Process Development Associate in the Attribute Sciences (AS) department within the Process Development (PD) organization. This laboratory-based role at Amgen's FleX Batch facility will evaluate attributes of materials using multiple analytical techniques, focusing on analytical testing, support, and troubleshooting.
What You Will Do
Deliver rapid and robust analytical testing to the site, process development team, and quality control.
Provide analysis support for small‑scale model transfer, method transfers, investigation support, and continuous improvements.
Work closely with functions including Drug Substance, Quality, and Manufacturing.
Understand analytical methodologies to detect product quality attributes and process‑related impurities via techniques such as UV‑Vis spectroscopy, chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and PCR.
Execute methods, author reports, and ensure safety and compliance for all activities.
What We Expect Of You
Strong scientific and technical background in process development, chemistry, or related fields.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma / GED and 4 years of Process Development / Chemistry or related experience OR
Associate’s degree and 2 years of Process Development / Chemistry or related experience OR
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry or related area.
Experience in pharmaceutical process development with analytical support, method execution, and investigational testing.
Experience with single or multiple analytical techniques (e.g., CE, ELISA, DNA, chromatography).
Experience in method transfers, validation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with USP monographs and ICH/FDA guidance related to analytical method transfer and validation.
Effective oral and verbal communication skills.
Technical writing skills and attention to detail.
Self‑starter and valuable teammate.
