Management Training Program, Operations Supervisor
role. This 20‑week program provides comprehensive training across our nationwide service centers, with the goal of developing future leaders in operations and customer management.
Overview The program places you in a front‑line Operations Supervisor role, where you will learn safety, maintenance, transportation procedures, and account management by shadowing supervisors and ArcBest Account Managers. Successful candidates will later be assigned to one of our 240+ service centers across the continental United States.
Responsibilities
Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
Coordinate work assignments and monitor performance.
Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
Assign job tasks to workers according to loading/unloading schedules.
Plan, supervise, and control resources for timely, damage‑free, safe freight handling.
Maintain appropriate load plans and enforce load balance for safe vehicle operation.
Support a values‑driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, and wellness.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
Maintain a positive attitude in a high‑intensity environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
General freight knowledge, including imports, exports, and handling techniques (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to relocate to a service center location (required).

Full‑time, salary position paid biweekly.
