Job Type : Full-Time Salary with Commissions based off experience

Reports To : Operations Manager

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and proactive Residential Project Manager to lead residential construction projects including remodels, home additions, and new builds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, trade coordination, and client communication, ensuring all phases of construction are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Budgeting & Financial Management

Create and manage project budgets for remodels, additions, and new construction.

Track expenses, approve change orders, and ensure cost efficiency throughout the project.

Collaborate with estimators and finance teams for accurate forecasting and billing.

Client Coordination & Selections

Act as the main point of contact for homeowners throughout the project.

Guide clients through the design selection process for finishes, fixtures, and materials.

Maintain consistent communication and manage expectations regarding scope, cost, and timeline.

Scheduling & Trade Management

Develop comprehensive construction schedules for each phase of the project.

Coordinate and manage subcontractors and skilled trades to ensure timely completion of work.

Oversee daily operations to resolve scheduling conflicts or field challenges promptly.

Project Oversight & Quality Control

Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to plans.

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements.

Address and resolve any issues, delays, or client concerns quickly and professionally.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed project records including contracts, change orders, site notes, and communications.

Provide progress updates and reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience managing residential construction projects, including remodels, additions, and new homes.

Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and residential permitting.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, MS Project).

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or certification in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience with high-end residential projects or historic home renovations.

Familiarity with energy‑efficient and sustainable building practices.
