Responsibilities

Coordinate documentation required by U.S. Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the U.S. on behalf of importers.

Provide impeccable customer service and handle all import‑related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs, including remote filings and agency brokerage shipments.

Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, the internet, or customs resources.

Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record‑keeping requirements.

Adhere to all international importing and exporting regulations.

Work closely with internal staff, departments, other FedEx opcos, customers, and government agencies to deliver a high level of service.

Process agency brokerage shipments and perform entry reconciliations and entry reviews as needed.

Follow up on customs matters, resolve problems, and ensure all government and organizational policies are followed.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 6 months work experience required; preferred 12 months of industry experience.

Data entry/keyboard experience required.

CCS and/or broker’s license preferred.

Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and other office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to handle high‑volume, time‑sensitive work and work independently with minimum supervision.

Experience using multiple systems and reference material; knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred.

Participation in paid training provided.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

proficiency in Microsoft Word, strong data entry skills, customer service and communication experience, and enthusiasm to learn brokerage processes.

Pay $13.60 – $21.57 USD hourly.

Additional Details Role is based at 3875 Airways Drive. Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay Transparency This compensation range is an estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across potential locations. Actual pay will be determined by experience, market level and location. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The company offers health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
