Summary of Job Duties The Data and Reporting Specialist supports Global Campus in the effective management, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of data. The role accesses information held in databases to respond to scheduled and ad‑hoc requests for statistical and analytical data and reports. The specialist identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets, thinks strategically to support data collection regarding data handling, structure, and reporting procedures, consults with clients to identify project scope, needs, and requirements, creates and maintains various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and dashboards, and provides proactive technical assistance and guidance in relation to report and data requests. The specialist supports teams in continuous improvement of the use of data to drive operational decision‑making, creates and maintains data visualization tools, and identifies appropriate data repositories and information sources/systems to formulate data inquiry questions and answers, recommending new data architecture for existing and new UA datasets for the collection of online degree, credit and professional learning courses, and student information. Regular, reliable, and non‑disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

At least two years of experience with data analysis and visualization using large data sets to drive operational decision‑making

Excellent oral and written communication skills as evidenced by application materials

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree

At least two years of experience working with student data in a higher education setting

Experience or formal training in project management

Experience with data mining, analytics, and visualization in a higher education setting

Background in statistics or data analytics

Experience with Microsoft Fabric

Experience with Workday

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced proficiency in the use of desktop productivity software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Proficient working knowledge of various software packages and applications related to statistical analyses, databases, data governance, and data visualization (for example, SAS, SAS EG, SPSS, Microsoft Office – Access, PL/SQL and SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric)

Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions

Strong organizational and time‑management skills

Ability to effectively explain data analysis to non‑technical audiences through visualization and narrative storytelling

Salary Information $51,021 - $57,000
