SUMMARY ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex). We are looking for a Landscaping / Grounds Lead to join our team.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
2 – years’ experience in a Landscaping lead role.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Must be able to operate zero turn lawnmowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, sprayers, hedge trimmers, rakes and shovels.
Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
Must be able to pass a background investigation and pass a drug and physical exam.
DESCRIPTION
Lead and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish
Plan and schedule landscape maintenance and improvements
Communicate with customer to understand their landscaping needs and preferences
Source and budget materials and supplies for landscaping projects
Monitor and inspect work progress and quality on site
Provide training and guidance to staff
Build end execute schedule of services
Attend weekly meetings with government Contract Representatives
Cut grass, using walking-type and riding-type mowers
Trim hedges and edge around sidewalks, flower beds and other structures
Pruneshrubs and trees to shape using shears, pole saws,and other hand tools
Spread mulch and pine-straw
Water flower beds or newly installed sod as needed
Weed removal from flower beds and planters
Post-storm clean-up including removal of fallen limbs and wind-blown debris
Use a blower and vacuum mulcher to clear sidewalks, streets, and parking lots of debris
Inspect, clean and account for all landscaping equipment
Report all concerns to Program Management
