MetaOps Inc. has an immediate need for a Business Development Manager with connections in the pharma/chemical industry for a remote role with travel. Our customer is a globally recognized life sciences manufacturer specializing in raw materials and products such as antigens, polyclonal antibodies, and rapid diagnostic kits. The organization is now intensifying its U.S. direct sales expansion, aiming to double current U.S. revenues within the next 2–3 years.
Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
What you’d do The Business Development Manager (USA) will play a pivotal role in driving this growth by developing new accounts, establishing strategic partnerships, and strengthening customer relationships—especially on the East Coast, while maintaining existing accounts in the West.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives in the U.S. IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) market.
New Account Acquisition: Identify, approach, and onboard 5–7 new customers in the first year by sampling 30–35 target accounts.
Revenue Growth: Achieve a first-year revenue target of ~USD 1.18M, focusing on high-potential biomedical and diagnostic companies.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, logistics, product development) to tailor offerings for the U.S. market.
Reporting & Market Intelligence: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, competitive activity, and market trends.
Compliance & Coordination: Ensure adherence to U.S. business regulations and facilitate logistics for customer orders in collaboration with the global supply team.
Requirements to be considered
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biomedicine; MBA desired.
Experience: 5–10 years of relevant B2B sales or business development experience in IVD reagents, diagnostic raw materials, or biomedical products.
Proven success in U.S. life sciences or diagnostics business development.
Strong hunter mindset with demonstrated ability to open new accounts and deliver results.
Established network with key target customers in the diagnostics and biomedical sectors.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills; persuasive, analytical, and data-driven.
Cultural fluency with a deep understanding of U.S. business practices.
High travel readiness and commitment to a performance-driven culture.
